Nookbay needa a RP forum

as I said. I RP forums would add some more fun to nookbay, dont you think?


ok for those of you who dont know what a RP forum is I'll explain. Mostly a RP forum has one setting and a plot. players ( members of nookbay forums ) create a charicture profile about their pretend person on thier first post. an example profile would look like this

after you create your charecter you can interact with other users' charcters and make up events that could happen in the setting and then act out those events Example Notices a dark figure moving around. calls to it and then starts to follow it and then other people could join in on the current event(s)

So, heres the plot...


a group of poeple gets stranded on a tropical island miles away from civilization. They have made camp at the beach, but havnt explored the island yet. What will happen as they explore discuss and investigate the island? the choice is up to you.

No, this thread is fine here. Yoshi, if you'd like, you can lead some RP's. Maybe just one at a time to start until people figure it out, as I'm sure a lot of members here will be new to it.

You can create one thread that I'll stick, to explain what RP'ing is, how to do it, etc. And then you can run an active RP thread within this forum. If it gets popular, I'll consider making a full forum for it.

Just to add to what jewcat said. Please be as DETAILED as possible when explaining what your version or RolePlay is. dont assume that everyone knows what you are talking about when desribing the rules and guidelines.

For example I have been involved with a couple of different "message board" RP games and each was run drastically different from the others.

Can we play multiple characters?

Playing multiple characters gets confuzing sometimes.
But if you're up for it, go ahead. Whenever you make a post about a certain character, make sure everyone can tell exactly who you're talking about.
EX. I have 2 characters. One's named Curtis, the other's named Beth. My post(of the "Curtis character" would look something like this:
